About

The Role

We are currently recruiting for caring and committed SEN Teaching Assistants to join a specialist further education setting in Coventry on a temp-to-perm basis. This is a highly rewarding opportunity to support young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), helping them to develop independence, confidence, and essential life skills.

You will be supporting students with a range of needs, including autism, learning difficulties, and physical disabilities, both in the classroom and across the wider setting.

Key Responsibilities

Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEN
Support personalised learning programmes
Assist with personal care where required
Encourage independence and social development
Work closely with teaching and support staff
Maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

About You

Experience working with SEN (education, care, or support setting)
Patient, empathetic, and proactive approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Comfortable supporting complex needs and personal care (where required)
Passionate about making a positive difference

Temporary to Permanent Opportunity  

Initial temporary placement with the potential to move into a permanent role
Progression dependent on performance and completion of the formal application process
