About The Role

We are currently recruiting for caring and committed SEN Teaching Assistants to join a specialist further education setting in Coventry on a temp-to-perm basis. This is a highly rewarding opportunity to support young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), helping them to develop independence, confidence, and essential life skills.

You will be supporting students with a range of needs, including autism, learning difficulties, and physical disabilities, both in the classroom and across the wider setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEN
• Support personalised learning programmes
• Assist with personal care where required
• Encourage independence and social development
• Work closely with teaching and support staff
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

About You

• Experience working with SEN (education, care, or support setting)
• Patient, empathetic, and proactive approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Comfortable supporting complex needs and personal care (where required)
• Passionate about making a positive difference

Temporary to Permanent Opportunity

• Initial temporary placement with the potential to move into a permanent role
• Progression dependent on performance and completion of the formal application process
• Full support provided throughout
