Job Summary

We are inviting applications for a permanent Assistant Professorship in International Political Economy in the Department of Politics and International Studies (PAIS) at the University of Warwick, starting at the beginning of the academic year 2026‑27. The appointment will be at FA7 of the University of Warwick salary scale. The role is based in PAIS’s International Political Economy research cluster.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain a strong research trajectory in International Political Economy, contributing to high‑quality teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
  • Develop, design, and deliver modules on IPE at undergraduate and postgraduate level.
  • Supervise student dissertations and research at both UG and PGT levels.
  • Support the advancement of the department’s curriculum in IPE.
  • Pursue competitive bids for external research funding and generate impact beyond the academy.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated track record of high‑quality, nationally recognised research outputs and clear progress towards an internationally excellent research profile.
  • Experience in publishing in leading journals and presses and in pursuing external research funding.
  • Commitment to generating impact beyond the academy.
  • Engagement with advancing Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion in the workplace; experience with inclusive teaching practices and, ideally, anti‑racist, intersectional, or decolonising pedagogical approaches.
