Pastoral support officer​/deputy college leader

Role Overview

This position is part of the pastoral team at an 11-19 comprehensive school, supporting young people across all year groups to develop the skills and experiences needed for happy and fulfilled lives.

• Work across all year groups and with students of all abilities.
• Develop relationships with students to maximise their learning potential throughout their school career.
• Provide pastoral support to ensure students grow into confident, well‑behaved, and engaged learners.
• Collaborate with staff to promote a purposeful and calm school environment that supports a highly ambitious curriculum.

We are looking for a committed, motivated professional with a high positive regard for young people and a strong commitment to safeguarding.

• Eligible to work in the UK with no restrictions; proof of right to work must be provided at interview.
• Enhanced DBS check required; appointments will be subject to an online safeguarding search under the KCSIE framework.
• Demonstrated experience or passion for pastoral care in an educational setting is preferred.
