Hays Education are working in partnership with a specialist SEN provision to recruit a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher on a permanent basis.

This rewarding opportunity would suit a qualified teacher who is committed to supporting pupils with additional needs and creating a positive, engaging learning environment where every child can thrive.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a tailored curriculum using a semi formal approach where appropriate, adapting lessons to meet the individual needs of learners and supporting their academic, social and emotional development.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons
• Use semi formal teaching approaches to support individual learning needs
• Monitor, assess and report on pupil progress
• Work collaboratively with support staff, families and external professionals
• Contribute to EHCP targets and reviews
• Create a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment

What you'll need to succeed

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
• Previous experience working with pupils with Special Educational Needs
• A background in Primary or Early Years education would be advantageous
• Strong planning and differentiation skills
• A nurturing and child-centred approach
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
