Overview

Performing Arts Technician – Bablake School. Maternity Cover – 1 Year fixed term. Required October 2026. Salary:
Grade 5 (£23,316 - £27,538). Role is advertised on an annualised hours basis. The role is year-round, equivalent to 35 hours per week. Hours will be notified on a half-termly basis; significant events such as productions are scheduled as early as possible. Flexibility is essential as you may be required to work evenings and weekends to support performances and commercial bookings, and to work across all Foundation sites.

Bablake is a vibrant school supported by a diverse and enthusiastic community of staff, pupils, parents and alumni.

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support for performing arts activities across Music and Drama in junior and senior schools, including productions and performances.
  • Support events and shows, with hours that may vary by show commitments, including evenings and weekends.
  • Run and contribute to a technician club to develop pupil-facing capabilities in set design, lighting and sound.
  • Collaborate with staff across Foundation sites to enable high-quality performances.
