Are you an experienced teacher or tutor with a passion for supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)?

TP Tutors, part of Teaching Personnel, is looking for dedicated SEN 1:1 Tutors to provide personalised, one-to-one tuition to pupils across Coventry
. Tuition takes place during school hours and is delivered either in pupils' homes or within school settings
, depending on each learner's individual needs.

This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils who require tailored educational provision due to Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, speech and language difficulties, dyslexia
, and other additional learning needs. You'll play a vital role in helping pupils build confidence, re-engage with education, and achieve meaningful academic progress.

• Deliver engaging and personalised 1:1 tuition tailored to each pupil's individual learning needs.
• Adapt teaching strategies and resources to support a wide range of SEND needs.
• Plan and deliver lessons that promote academic progress, confidence, and independence.
• Monitor pupil progress and complete session reports after each lesson.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, families, schools, and Local Authorities.
• Encourage pupils to develop resilience, engagement, and a positive attitude towards learning.

• A minimum of two years' teaching experience delivering the UK National Curriculum.
• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND.
• Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum and differentiated teaching strategies.
• Excellent communication, behaviour management, and relationship-building skills.
• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, or the ability to travel reliably within Coventry.
• An Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
• Right to work in the UK.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or another recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience supporting pupils with ASC, ADHD, SEMH needs, speech and language difficulties, dyslexia, or other additional needs.
• Experience delivering tuition within alternative provision, specialist settings, or pupils' homes.
• Knowledge of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).

This role is based within Coventry
, and applicants should be willing to travel to tuition locations across the city.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
