About the role

We are seeking an outstanding and ambitious Assistant Headteacher to join our leadership team and play a key role in driving excellence across our school.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly effective practitioner and emerging or experienced leader who is passionate about teaching and learning and committed to achieving the very best outcomes for all pupils.

The successful candidate will:
  • Lead and develop high-quality teaching, learning and assessment across the school
  • Take responsibility for a phase (e.g. key stage), ensuring high standards of achievement, behaviour and curriculum provision
  • Contribute significantly to school self-evaluation, improvement planning and strategic leadership
  • Be a visible and proactive member of the Senior Leadership Team
We are looking for someone who:
  • Isan excellent classroom practitioner, able to model outstanding teaching
  • Has successful experience of leading a team, subject or phase
  • Hasa strong understanding of effective pedagogy and curriculum design
  • Can analyse and use data effectively to drive school improvement
  • Demonstrates the ability to coach, motivate and develop others
  • Hasthe drive, resilience and ambition to make a sustained impact on outcomes forpupils
  • Is committed to inclusion, safeguarding and high expectations for all children

  • Have Qualified Teacher Status and relevant professional development

All staff are expected to know what to do if they have concerns about a child, take on the responsibility for providing a safe environment and promoting children's welfare, undertake regular safeguarding and child protection training and, familiarise themselves with KCSIE part 1 and local policies and procedures as directed by thetrust/academy.
