Long Term Futures is seeking a caring and patient Reception Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Willenhall, Coventry.

The role will involve supporting children across Reception, with a particular focus on SEN support, phonics and early reading. You will work closely with the class teacher and wider inclusion team, providing whole-class, small-group and 1:1 support to help children access learning and make progress.

• Support learning across a Reception classroom
• Deliver and reinforce Read Write Inc. phonics
• Provide 1:1 and small-group SEN support
• Support pupils with additional learning and communication needs
• Adapt activities to meet individual pupil needs
• Support early reading, language and communication development
• Encourage independence, confidence and positive engagement
• Work closely with the class teacher and SEND team

• Level 2 or 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification, or equivalent
• Previous experience working within EYFS or a primary school
• Experience supporting children with SEND
• Confidence supporting phonics and early reading
• Read Write Inc. experience would be highly desirable
• Good understanding of the EYFS curriculum
• A patient, nurturing and inclusive approach

• Two-form entry mainstream primary school in Willenhall, Coventry
• Strong focus on inclusion and supporting pupils with additional needs
• Dedicated SEND and pastoral provision
• Strong emphasis on early reading, communication and phonics
• Supportive staff team with a pupil-centred approach
