Teacher Active is currently recruiting Morning Club Assistants to support Primary Schools across Coventry.

We are particularly interested in candidates who are also willing to support After School Clubs
, providing opportunities to increase their working hours.

As a Morning Club Assistant, you will play an important role in ensuring children have a positive and enjoyable start to their school day.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supervising children attending the school's Breakfast/Morning Club.
• Creating a safe, welcoming and engaging environment.
• Supporting children with breakfast routines and morning activities.
• Organising age-appropriate games, activities and play.
• Encouraging positive behaviour and social interaction.
• Ensuring safeguarding and school policies are followed.
• Supporting a smooth transition from Morning Club into the school day.

Working hours are 7:30am – 9:00am. Candidates must be available during these hours.

To be considered for this opportunity, you should:

• Hold a Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or a relevant equivalent qualification.
• Have a minimum of 6 months' experience working with children in a Primary School setting
  .
• Be available to work between 7:30am and 9:00am
  .
• Be able to provide two references from previous employers
  , ideally including a recent school or childcare setting.
• Hold an Enhanced DBS Certificate registered on the Update Service or be willing to undertake a new Enhanced DBS check.
• Demonstrate a good understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
• Be punctual, reliable, approachable and enthusiastic.
• Be confident supporting children across different Primary School age groups.
