Current Opportunity:
Health and Safety Advisor
Location:Based in Coventry – the South Region comprises Sublots 2B, 2A and 1A Long Itchington Wood. It stretches for approximately 39.2 km from Finham Brook to Southam through a mixture of rural and suburban landscapes.
Role Responsibilities:- Support the Sublot H&S Manager and provide day‑to‑day health and safety guidance across the site.
- Advise on compliance with the BBV H&S management system and relevant UK legislation (e.g., CDM, Work at Height).
- Carry out regular site inspections, review RAMS, and support investigations by updating the HS2 reporting database.
- Deliver and produce safety communications, briefings, presentations, toolbox talks, and lessons learned.
- Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers—including Traffic Management, Community Engagement, Facilities, and Procurement—to resolve issues and evaluate supplier H&S standards.
Experience:
- Previous experience in Construction Health and Safety, ideally including major construction projects with similar themes to HS2.
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate (or equivalent).
- NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent).
- Membership of IOSH – Tech IOSH.
- Experience of working on railway infrastructure (due to the Sublot undertaking works on Network Rail infrastructure alongside HS2).
