Working hours: 36 Hours per week (Fully Flexible Working Week)

Salary: £30,000-£35,000 per annum

Main Responsibilities:

• This role will involve supporting the materials labs for the MTC workshop. The candidate will carry out tasks across both metallurgy and powder characterisation labs using a wide range of equipment for analysis to support research themes within the MTC and external customers to the MTC.

Essential Skills/Qualifications/Experience

• Metallurgical prep of samples
• Mechanical testing of metallurgy samples
• SEM/optical microscopy knowledge

Desirable Skills/Qualifications/Experience

• Powder metallurgy knowledge/experience
• Powder testing experience
