We’re looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our Property team. You’ll play a key role in ensuring that our technical supplier expenditure (c. £12m) delivers the best value for money. Working alongside another QS you will agree final accounts and assess on‑site work value for money.

• Audit contractor payment applications against the National Schedule of Rates and resolve queries promptly.
• Provide accurate reports on committed spend, accruals, and savings for senior leadership.
• Certify payments and maintain detailed breakdowns of jobs and outstanding claims.
• Conduct physical audits on at least 15% of high‑value work instructions.
• Manage competitive tenders for major works (e.g. road replacements, refurbishments, new builds).
• Prepare detailed designs and evaluate contractor submissions to ensure best value.

You’ll be based out of our head office in Coventry within our Property team.

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor on civil engineering and building projects (water industry experience desirable).
• Strong commercial and engineering background with professional qualifications (RICS, CIPS, or equivalent).
• Experience working with the NSR.
• Skilled in managing contracts, suppliers, and tenders.
• Highly numerate with excellent analytical and IT skills (SAP, Excel, etc.).
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and organisational skills.
• Hold a full U.K driving licence.
