Senior Civil Engineer

AA Euro Group are currently seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to join a specialist civil engineering contractor delivering major critical infrastructure works across the Birmingham and Coventry region.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the technical delivery of complex civil packages, supporting site operations, managing engineering activities, and ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

• Manage and coordinate all engineering activities across assigned project areas.
• Provide technical support to site teams and subcontractors.
• Interpret and review drawings, specifications, and design information.
• Ensure setting out and surveying activities are completed accurately.
• Oversee quality control procedures and ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Prepare and review RAMS, ITPs, and engineering documentation.
• Support project planning, sequencing, and programme management.
• Liaise with design teams, clients, subcontractors, and site management.
• Monitor progress and report on engineering and site performance.
• Identify and resolve technical issues efficiently to avoid delays.
• Ensure works are delivered in line with health & safety regulations and company standards.
• Mentor and support junior engineers and site staff where required.

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Proven experience in a Senior Engineer role within civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
• Strong technical knowledge of:
  • Earthworks
  • Drainage
  • Reinforced concrete works
  • Utilities
  • Roads and infrastructure packages
• Experience working on critical infrastructure, energy, utility, industrial, or mission critical projects preferred.
• Proficient in interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong understanding of QA/QC procedures and site documentation.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• CSCS card required.
• Full UK driving licence.

• Previous experience on substation, energy, water, or data centre infrastructure projects.
• Temporary works coordination exposure.
• Familiarity with GPS surveying equipment and engineering software.
• SMSTS or SSSTS certification advantageous.
