Salary: £45,000 - £65,000 + company car, discretionary bonus, Bupa, death in service.

This privately owned mechanical contractor delivers industrial, commercial, education, healthcare, residential, and infrastructure projects across the UK. Operating from a Coventry office and fabrication facility, the business provides full mechanical packages including pipework, plumbing, heating, gas services, plant rooms, ventilation, and offsite fabrication solutions. • £45,000 - £65,000 salary depending on experience

As Mechanical Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing detailed and commercially competitive estimates for mechanical services projects ranging from large-scale new builds through to refurbishment and maintenance works.

• Preparing accurate cost estimates for mechanical installations and services projects
• Reviewing tender documents, drawings, specifications, and project requirements
• Producing detailed cost breakdowns, quantities, and pricing schedules
• Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations
• Working closely with project and design teams during pre‑construction stages
• Assessing project risks and incorporating mitigation measures within estimates
• Supporting bid reviews and final tender submissions
• Monitoring market rates, material costs, and industry trends
• Assisting with continuous improvements to estimating systems and processes
• Managing multiple tenders and deadlines simultaneously

The role will suit someone with previous experience as a Mechanical Estimator within building services or mechanical contracting. A strong understanding of pipework, HVAC, plant rooms, plumbing, and commercial mechanical installations would be highly beneficial.

• Good knowledge of mechanical building services projects
• Strong commercial awareness and analytical skillsli>

• Ability to communicate effectively with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams

• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
