• Permanent Position
• Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 (DOE)

Monday to Friday
- Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies from concept through to manufacture
- Produce detailed engineering drawings, 3D models, and technical documentation
- Modify, improve, and optimise existing designs to meet customer and business requirements
- Support product development activities across a range of engineering projects
- Work closely with manufacturing, production, and engineering teams to ensure designs are practical and cost‑effective
- Conduct engineering calculations and technical assessments to validate designs
- Support prototype development, testing, and design verification activities
- Liaise with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders throughout the design process
- Ensure designs comply with relevant engineering standards and specifications
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and engineering best practices
- 2-3 years' experience within a Mechanical Design Engineer or similar position
- Degree, HNC, HND, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
- Experience creating mechanical designs from concept as well as modifying existing products and assemblies
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings, tolerances, and manufacturing processes
- CAD design experience, with Solid Works experience being advantageous but not essential
- Strong problem‑solving skills and a genuine interest in engineering and product development
- Eager to learn, develop, and take ownership of engineering projects
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative engineering team
- Experience with in the Automotive or Aerospace sectors
- Exposure to FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and/or CAE (Computer‑Aided Engineering) tools
- Knowledge of product testing, validation, and design verification processes
- Understanding of manufacturing and assembly techniques within regulated engineering environments
