We’re looking for an experienced and proactive CDM Specialist to join our team, supporting construction and project activities across the East Midlands network.
This is a permanent, full time role 37 hours, Monday to Friday with a hybrid working pattern. The role includes travel across the network and a standby requirement to support operational needs.

This is a high-impact role where you’ll help shape safe delivery and provide expert guidance across a complex operational environment.
What you’ll be doing- Support internal teams and contractors with CDM 2015 compliance
- Act as a trusted advisor on SHE standards and best practice
- Review contractor competency and safety management systems
- Drive compliance and continuous improvement across the supply chain
- Contribute to construction phase planning and contractor mobilisation
- Ensure safety, environmental, and operational policies are embedded
- Conduct audits, investigations, and reporting on safety performance
- Engage stakeholders to improve risk management and outcomes
- Support and oversee plant, tools, and equipment management activities
- Ensure safe and effective use of operational resources
You’ll be a knowledgeable and credible safety professional, confident in influencing teams and contractors. You’ll be analytical, proactive, and committed to maintaining high safety standards across operations
Experience- Experience with in programme or contract management environments is desirable
- Recognised safety qualification (e.g. NEBOSH)
- Strong knowledge of CDM regulations and SHE standards
- Professional membership (e.g. IGEM, IMechE) is desirable
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
- Analytical and solution-focused approach to problem solving
- Full UK driving licence
