Job Description
Join Brett Martin, a leader in plastic manufacturing, as a Quality Engineer and become a pivotal part of our commitment to excellence. In this dynamic role, you will champion our quality culture, ensuring best‑in‑class performance for both our internal and external customers. You will be instrumental in managing and developing our BS EN ISO 9001:2015 business system, driving continuous improvement initiatives across all company operations.
We are looking for a proactive and analytical individual to implement robust quality control procedures, manage non‑conformances, and analyse performance data to identify key improvement areas. You'll work closely with our Product Development, Engineering, and Maintenance teams to embed a "Quality by Design" concept and resolve any deviations from our high standards.

Work with cross‑functional teams to ensure product excellence and process efficiency. - Improve Continuously:
Champion Lean activities like 5S, PDCA, and Kaizen to foster a culture of ongoing improvement.
As a Quality Engineer at Brett Martin, your day‑to‑day will be varied and impactful. You'll be at the heart of our operations, managing the ISO 9001 system, conducting audits, and analysing quality KPIs to drive business‑wide improvements. You will collaborate with various departments, from engineering to product development, to troubleshoot issues and implement preventative actions like Poke‑Yoke solutions. This role is not just about compliance;
it's about actively coaching teams in Lean methodologies and championing a culture of continuous improvement.

- Strong project management skills, experience of Kaizen and 5S ownership
- Proven experience of Lean skills and techniques, influencing and engaging others within this function
- Demonstrated experience of quality assurance
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently, communicating to stakeholders using RACI practice
- Experience of working within ISO 9001 and 14001
- Minimum of intermediate Excel certificate
- High personal standards
- Minimum of Green belt in Six Sigma or relevant Lean alternative qualification
- Current UK driving licence
- Experience in SME environment
- Knowledge and experience within Building materials sector
