CAD Engineer

Overview

Produce detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings, models, and layouts to support engineering and project delivery activities. Interpret design briefs, technical specifications, and site data to develop accurate and compliant drawings. Conduct regular site visits to gather measurements, verify conditions, and resolve design or construction challenges. Collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure designs meet functional, regulatory, and project requirements.

Update and revise drawings throughout the project lifecycle, maintaining version control and documentation standards. Identify potential design or constructability issues early and propose practical solutions. Ensure all CAD outputs align with relevant industry standards, health and safety requirements, and company best practices.

• Proven experience producing detailed technical drawings for real-world, site-based projects.
• Comfortable undertaking frequent site visits and working in active or operational environments.
• Excellent understanding of engineering principles, technical specifications, and design coordination.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting with exceptional attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and the confidence to work with multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership of tasks, and deliver to tight deadlines.
• Solid proficiency with industry-standard CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD, Solid Works, Revit, or similar).
