Owen Daniels are recruiting on behalf of a leading engineering and manufacturing business in Coventry is recruiting for a Mechanical CAD Designer due to growth in the business.

Mechanical CAD Designer:

• Assist and develop the design of electro/mechanical rotating equipment.
• Create accurate 3D CAD models, assemblies and manufacturing drawings, ideally using Solid Works, along with supporting engineering calculations and design checks.
• Develop practical, cost-effective designs that meet technical, quality, safety, compliance and manufacturing requirements.
• Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, testing and quality teams.
• Investigate design and production issues, recommend improvements, and maintain accurate technical drawings, reports and design documentation.

Mechanical CAD Designer:

• Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline.
• Experienced in a mechanical design position within a regulated industry.
• Strong proficiency in 3D CAD and technical drawing creation (Solid Works preferred).
• Strong attention to detail and able to resolve design issues.
• Ability to work effectively with different engineering teams.
