Project management and leadership of complex ICP projects from award through to energisation and adoption, while also acting as the appointed NERS Qualified Supervisor, ensuring compliance, technical excellence, and operational assurance across our ICP portfolio.
Purpose of the RoleProject management and leadership of complex ICP projects from award through to energisation and adoption, while also acting as the appointed NERS Qualified Supervisor, ensuring compliance, technical excellence, and operational assurance across our ICP portfolio.
Principal Responsibilities And Accountabilities- Lead the delivery of ICP projects from inception through to energisation and final handover.
- Manage programme performance, commercial outcomes, safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate and manage project teams, subcontractors, DNOs, IDNOs, suppliers and key stakeholders.
- Provide technical leadership and support across the wider business for ICP opportunities and project delivery.
- Drive compliance with NERS requirements, utility standards, and industry regulations.
- Mentor and develop Project Engineers, Site Managers and operational teams.
- Support business growth through effective planning, resource management, and project governance.
- Lead by example in promoting a strong safety culture.
- Minimum 5 years' experience managing ICP projects.
- Strong knowledge of NERS accreditation requirements.
- Experience delivering HV network projects (11kV & 33kV).
- Understanding of DNO and IDNO specifications and procedures.
- Strong commercial and contractual awareness.
- Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary project teams.
- SMSTS (or equivalent).
- Level 3 qualification in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Installation.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- HNC/HND or Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- NERS supervisory or auditing experience.
- Senior Authorised Person (SAP) or operational authorisations.
- IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH qualification.
- Professional membership (IET or similar).
