AV Technician

We are looking for an enthusiastic AV Technician to join the Event Production team at the University of Warwick. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering high-quality events in a dynamic, customer-focused environment.

In this role, you will set up and operate audio-visual systems across lecture theatres and conference spaces, supporting a wide range of live, hybrid, and recorded events. You will work closely with clients, conference organisers, and suppliers to ensure a seamless technical delivery, while also providing on-the-day support and troubleshooting.

The successful candidate will:

• Be confident working both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
• Thrive in a fast-paced, live event environment and remain calm under pressure
• Have a strong technical interest, with hands-on experience in AV systems or a relevant technical background (e.g. theatre or live production)
• Demonstrate excellent customer service skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues
• Communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing
• Be well organised, able to manage competing priorities and respond to last-minute changes
• Show initiative and a willingness to learn and develop new skills
