Clark Wood are working with one of the leading tax advisory firms in Warwickshire—renowned for their technical strength, ambitious growth, and recently launched new offices in the West of Coventry.
Due to continued expansion, they are seeking an experienced tax professional to take the lead on complex advisory projects, including corporate reorganisations, share schemes, in corporations and wider restructuring.
This is a highly visible, client‑facing role focused on delivering commercially effective tax strategies, mitigating risk, and ensuring full compliance with current legislation.
The successful candidate will take ownership of projects from initial planning through to completion—developing detailed step plans, managing HMRC processes, and ensuring delivery to strict deadlines. They’ll also review technical work, uphold high compliance standards, and act as a trusted adviser to clients.
You’ll play an integral role within the team, mentoring junior staff, supporting their development, and contributing to a collaborative, high‑performing culture.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and deliver complex tax advisory projects end‑to‑end
- Prepare and review step plans and detailed technical analysis
- Manage HMRC filings, clearances, and stakeholder communication
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Mentor and support the development of junior staff
- CTA qualified (or equivalent)
- Strong expertise across UK direct taxes (CT, CGT, IHT, employment taxes, etc.)
- Proven background in advisory/transactional work
This represents an excellent opportunity to take ownership of meaningful projects rather than inheriting a large, repetitive portfolio. The role offers variety, autonomy, and the opportunity to build your expertise quickly in a team that is relatively top‑heavy and strongly focused on quality advisory work.
