This is an excellent opportunity for a Tax Manager to join a well‑established accountancy firm in Coventry. You’ll manage a varied tax portfolio, deliver both compliance and advisory services, and play a key role in supporting clients and developing the wider tax function.

As Tax Manager, you’ll take responsibility for the delivery and development of tax services across a diverse client base.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing a portfolio of personal and corporate tax clients
• Reviewing complex tax returns and computations
• Providing tax advisory support on matters such as remuneration planning, capital gains tax and succession planning
• Acting as a key point of contact for clients, offering proactive and commercially focused advice
• Liaising with HMRC on behalf of clients and managing enquiries
• Identifying tax planning opportunities and supporting business development
• Leading, mentoring and reviewing the work of junior tax team members
• Keeping up to date with changes in tax legislation and best practice

This role offers a strong balance of technical work, client interaction and leadership responsibility.

• Be CTA, ATT, ACA or ACCA qualified (or qualified by experience)
• Have experience working within a UK accountancy practice in a tax-focused role
• Possess strong technical knowledge across personal and/or corporate tax
• Be comfortable managing your own client portfolio
• Have excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Be organised, proactive and able to manage multiple deadlines
• Demonstrate a desire to progress and develop within a managerial role
