Marks Sattin is delighted to partner with an award-winning specialist Tax Advisory firm to recruit an experienced Senior Tax Adviser.
This role is ideal for a CTA-qualified tax professional who enjoys working on technically complex advisory projects, mentoring colleagues and building trusted client relationships.
The successful applicant will play a key role in delivering bespoke tax planning strategies, focussed around personal tax planning such as Inheritance Tax, including the use of Trusts, and Family Investment Companies.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the planning and delivery of complex tax advisory and restructuring projects from initial strategy through to completion.
- Develop detailed project plans, ensuring clear timelines, responsibilities and successful delivery.
- Oversee project implementation, including instructing solicitors, coordinating HMRC submissions and maintaining regular communication with clients and key stakeholders.
- Review the work of Tax Advisers and Junior Tax Advisers, ensuring technical accuracy, compliance and adherence to best practice.
- Review HMRC clearance applications, technical reports, restructuring plans and associated documentation.
- Identify additional tax planning opportunities to help clients minimise tax liabilities while remaining fully compliant with current legislation.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships by delivering clear, practical and commercially focused tax advice.
- Support, coach and mentor junior members of the team, contributing to their ongoing technical and professional development.
- CTA qualified (or equivalent).
- Experience across direct taxes, including:
- Inheritance Tax
- Capital Gains Tax
- Corporation Tax
- Income Tax
- Strong experience in personal tax planning, including trusts, Family Investment Companies and estate planning.
- Excellent technical research skills with the ability to interpret legislation and advise on complex tax matters.
