The OpportunityAs Corporate Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing both organic and inorganic growth strategies. You will lead financial and commercial analysis, coordinate M&A transactions, support debt and equity financing activities, and oversee post-acquisition integration programmes across an international business.
This role is ideal for a commercially minded corporate finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working on complex, strategic projects with senior stakeholders. You will work directly with the CEO, CFO, Board and external advisors to drive strategic initiatives, evaluate acquisition opportunities, support fundraising activities and help deliver long-term shareholder value.
Key Responsibilities Strategic Growth & Corporate Development- Identify and assess acquisition, joint venture, partnership and investment opportunities.
- Evaluate strategic fit, market positioning and value creation potential.
- Build relationships with advisors, lenders, investors and industry contacts to support growth initiatives.
- Develop sophisticated financial models and valuations.
- Conduct DCF, comparable company and precedent transaction analysis.
- Assess funding requirements, capital structures and investment returns.
- Analyse synergies, business cases and growth opportunities.
- Support the structuring and execution of debt facilities, refinancing and acquisition funding.
- Assist with equity fundraising initiatives and investor engagement.
- Prepare investment materials, lender presentations and financing documentation.
- Manage due diligence processes across financial, legal, operational, commercial and tax work streams.
- Coordinate internal and external stakeholders through the transaction lifecycle.
- Support negotiations and transaction execution activities.
- Lead post-acquisition integration planning.
- Develop synergy tracking frameworks and value realisation initiatives.
- Work cross-functionally to ensure successful integration and operational alignment.
- Significant experience in Corporate Development, M&A, Corporate Finance, Investment Banking, Transaction Services or Strategic Finance.
- Experience supporting debt financing, equity fundraising or capital markets activities.
- Proven track record delivering acquisitions, disposals, strategic partnerships or fundraising projects.
- Strong understanding of valuation methodologies, capital structures and investment appraisal techniques.
- Experience managing complex due diligence programmes and multiple stakeholders.
- Previous exposure to industrial manufacturing, engineering, automation, capital equipment or related sectors.
- Experience with in an AIM-listed or publicly listed business.
- International transaction or cross-border financing experience.
- Knowledge of OEM, automation or industrial technology markets.
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification preferred.
- Advanced financial modelling and valuation expertise.
- Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking capability.
- Excellent project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Exceptional Excel and PowerPoint proficiency.
- Strong negotiation, communication and influencing skills.
- Comfortable operating independently in a dynamic environment.
