The Compliance & Regulatory Reporting Manager supports the Head of Compliance in maintaining an effective compliance framework across Leasys UK and ensuring that applicable regulatory, legal and governance requirements are understood, monitored and evidenced.
The role is responsible for managing compliance & risk controls on second line oversight activities, coordinating regulatory reporting obligations and assisting with the preparation, validation and submission of regulatory returns.
The role works closely with Finance, Risk, Operations, Data, Sales, Customer Experience and other business areas to obtain information, validate regulatory reporting data, monitor control effectiveness and support timely escalation of compliance risks or control weaknesses.
The role reports to the Head of Compliance.
Location:2 days in the office – Coventry/Slough
Drivers of Success- Strong understanding of UK financial services regulation, FCA expectations and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Accurate and timely delivery of regulatory reporting activity, supported by clear methodologies, reconciliations, validation and audit evidence.
- Effective risk-based compliance monitoring, control testing and second-line challenge.
- Strong analytical and data-validation skills, with the ability to identify anomalies, weaknesses and emerging risks.
- Effective horizon scanning and timely translation of regulatory developments into practical business actions.
- Clear, accurate and evidence-based management information suitable for senior management, governance forums and regulatory scrutiny.
- Strong stakeholder management, with the confidence to provide constructive challenge and influence timely completion of actions.
- Sound professional judgement, including the ability to identify and escalate significant compliance risks or control weaknesses appropriately.
- Pragmatic application of regulatory requirements, balancing regulatory expectations with operational realities without compromising compliance standards.
- Strong organisation and prioritisation skills across competing regulatory reporting, monitoring and governance deadlines.
- Commitment to quality, accountability, continuous improvement and maintaining robust audit trails.
- Maintain an effective Compliance Management Framework, ensuring compliance risks are identified, assessed, monitored, and reported appropriately.
- Monitor and assess changes to regulatory requirements, providing timely impact assessments and recommendations to management on required actions.
- Deliver and maintain the annual Compliance Monitoring Plan, ensuring second-line controls are completed in accordance with schedule and findings are tracked through to remediation.
- Produce accurate and timely regulatory, compliance, and governance reporting for Senior Management, Committees, Headquarters, and regulatory bodies.
- Provide compliance advice and formal opinions on business initiatives, new products, projects, operational changes, and strategic proposals.
- Maintain and periodically review Compliance Policies, Procedures, Standards, and Registers, ensuring alignment with Group requirements and UK regulatory obligations.
- Lead and coordinate Anti-Money Laundering and Financial Crime activities, including risk assessments, monitoring activities, training content, and control enhancements.
- Support Data Protection governance activities, ensuring compliance with applicable legislation, internal requirements, and training obligations.
- Deliver and maintain a robust compliance training programme, ensuring completion rates, training records, and staff awareness remain at required standards.
- Identify, investigate, escalatemand support the remediation of compliance breaches, control weaknesses, and regulatory issues, monitoring actions through to closure.
- Manage compliance-related projects and initiatives, ensuring agreed objectives, milestones, and regulatory requirements are achieved.
- Build effective relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners, auditors, and regulators to promote a strong culture of compliance and good governance.
- Support dealer and supplier compliance reviews, including planning, execution, reporting, and monitoring of corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records, evidence, and management information to demonstrate regulatory compliance and audit readiness at all times.
- Monitor regulatory publications, FCA communications, industry guidance, legislative developments, and Group requirements to identify and assess regulatory changes impacting the business.
- Maintain and execute the Compliance Monitoring Plan, including planning, testing, documenting findings, agreeing actions, and monitoring remediation activities.
