First Point Group is supporting an established telecoms company with ambitious growth plans for expansion in the UK following funding and investment. This presents an exciting opportunity for a Finance Business Partner to join the ever-growing and forward-thinking telecoms industry.

This is not a financial reporting / FP&A / Finance Controller position - this opportunity is for a highly motivated and agile Finance Business Partner that thrives with working with sales teams to improve revenue growth, profitability and performance.

You'll join a telecom business posturing for its next stage of growth meaning you will have an influential impact on business outcomes, strategy and direction. You'd achieve this by providing financial insight, challenge and analysis required to translate strategic growth objectives into measurable commercial results.

Key responsibilities

Lead budgeting, forecasting and long-range financial planning.

Partner Sales and Commercial teams on revenue, pipeline, conversion and performance.

Provide commercial and financial insight to the CEO, Board and senior leadership.

Develop financial models, business cases and investment appraisals.

Assess the financial viability of growth initiatives and investment decisions.

Monitor business KPIs and proactively identify risks and opportunities.

Own variance analysis and performance reporting.

Challenge senior stakeholders and promote financial accountability.

Improve financial reporting, processes and controls.

Translate complex financial information into clear commercial recommendations.

ExperienceACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualified accountant.

Strong Finance Business Partnering or Commercial Finance experience.

Demonstrable experience partnering Sales, Commercial and/or Operational functions.

Advanced budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling capability.

Strong business-case and investment-appraisal experience.

Comfortable influencing senior executives and challenging business decisions.

Experience with in a fast-growth or changing organisation.

Advanced Excel capability.

Power BI experience advantageous.

Telecoms, fibre, infrastructure or connectivity experience advantageous.
