Summary The Senior Treasury Analyst will provide financial analysis, modelling and reporting to support Treasury activities and balance sheet management, helping to ensure liquidity, capital and prudential risks are managed within agreed risk appetites.

The role holder will produce insightful reporting and analysis to support commercial and strategic decision-making, while monitoring financial performance, risks and emerging trends. The role will also support compliance with regulatory requirements and contribute to the ongoing development of robust governance and control frameworks.

Working closely with senior stakeholders, the successful candidate will assess the impact of market, economic and regulatory developments, providing recommendations that help protect and strengthen the Society’s financial position.

We operate on a team ledhybrid approach with at least 1 day a week in the Coventry &/or Manchester office.

You'll be an analytical and proactive risk professional with a strong understanding of Treasury, balance sheet management and prudential risk. You'll enjoy working with complex data, translating insights into meaningful recommendations, and partnering with stakeholders across the business to support effective risk management and decision-making. Confident in challenging constructively and influencing outcomes, you'll combine technical expertise with strong communication skills to help identify emerging risks and opportunities while driving continuous improvement.

For this role you’ll need to have:

Good experience in Market Risk and/or Balance Sheet Risk Management.

Strong analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate complex issues and develop practical solutions.

A strong understanding of Treasury activities, balance sheet management and prudential risk frameworks.

The ability to analyse financial and non-financial data, identify emerging risks and opportunities, and make evidence-based recommendations.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to challenge and influence senior stakeholders.

Advanced Excel skills and experience of data analysis, modelling and reporting within a financial services environment.

Experience in these areas would also be useful:

Holding, studying towards, or willing to undertake a relevant professional qualification, such as ALMA CertBALM or an equivalent Treasury, Risk or Finance qualification.

Experience using financial modelling systems, Treasury Management Systems or reporting tools, particularly QRM.Knowledge of macroeconomic trends, financial markets and regulatory developments impacting balance sheet management.
