Role Outline
We are seeking a Wellbeing Physiologist to join and work with our dynamic, growing multidisciplinary team to support the on-site health and wellbeing service at one of our well-known key client's sites.
This role requires a proactive, client-focused individual qualified to at least degree level (or equivalent) in Sports Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology or related fields, with experience in sports, medical, health, wellbeing or fitness environments.
The candidate must have a sound understanding of human physiology, exercise, biochemistry, anatomy/biomechanics, psychology, or nutrition, and be committed to driving positive health outcomes.
What you'll be doing:
- Delivering evidence-based exercise sessions for individuals and groups at varying levels of fitness.
- Leading group-based functional rehabilitation programmes aimed at building autonomy.
- Conducting individual and group health and wellbeing interventions.
- Providing tailored evidence-based advice based on patient health profiles and behavioural change stages.
- Formulating and implementing action plans according to treatment prescriptions and change stages.
- Supporting patients with lifestyle-induced diseases in making sustainable lifestyle choices for chronic condition management by offering best practice guidance on nutrition and exercise to employees.
- Using specialised equipment for clinical physiological tests, recording and analysing data.
- Interpreting clinical data, assessing clinical risk, and escalating to GP or OH practitioners if needed.
- Supporting and delivering educational workshops and health & wellbeing webinars.
- Presenting clinical and utilisation data to stakeholders.
- Serving as a role model, ambassador, and team player for health and wellbeing, promoting a culture that prioritises health and wellbeing.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge through research and continuing education.
What we are looking for:
We are seeking a passionate and skilled individual with a degree (or equivalent) in Sports Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology or related fields, alongside qualifications in Level 2 Gym Instructing, Level 3 Personal Training, and Level 3 Exercise Referral. Experience in health, fitness, or wellbeing environments is essential, with knowledge in areas such as exercise, anatomy, nutrition, or psychology.
You should have an understanding of workplace health risks, experience delivering health assessments and interventions, and the ability to adapt exercises to suit individual needs, including those with injuries, chronic illnesses, or disabilities.
Desirable qualifications include a master's degree in a relevant field and familiarity with coaching software or technology, such as health tracking apps and telehealth platforms. Excellent communication, organisational skills, and a proactive approach are essential, as is a strong commitment to improving health and wellbeing. Hours
We are looking for someone to work part time, 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday. You will be working 7.5 hour days between our core hours of 8am and 6pm.
Location
This role is based in Whitley, on occasion you may be asked to work once a week at a different client site including Gaydon or Solihull. Therefore to be considered for this role you will need to be able to drive.
Salary
The salary for this role is between £28,000K and £32,000K depending on qualifications and experience.
