Lead Nurse, Urology CNS

Position Overview

We’re looking for an experienced Urology CNS to take on the role of Lead Urology CNS to provide expert clinical care and lead our Urology CNS team.

The post holder will be responsible for taking a lead role in supporting the Urology Consultants in delivering the Urology services with a focus on the transformation of services within the newly built Urology Investigation Unit (UIU). The role will also be instrumental in the delivery of the Faster Diagnostic Pathway for Urology patients, ensuring the improvement of the overall patient experience and patient outcomes.

The service will be responsive to challenging healthcare needs and advances in practice whilst using service improvement and quality methodology.

The role of the Lead Nurse for Urology Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) Service is a high profile, dynamic, proactive, and pioneering role. The Lead Nurse for Urology CNS will be able to make informed decisions and have managerial responsibility for the nursing service delivery across the Urology pathways both benign and cancer. The focus of the role will be to improve overall patient experience and patient outcomes, for patients with speciality related conditions using service improvement and quality methodology and be responsive to challenging healthcare needs and advances in practice.

Successful applicants will be required to provide an immunisation and vaccination report, from either their current UK occupational health provider or their UK GP.
