Position: National Major Trauma Registry (NMTR) Data Coordinator

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Major Trauma Team and support the submission of data to the National Major Trauma Registry (NMTR). We are seeking an enthusiastic, proactive, and organised individual with strong data management skills and experience using spreadsheets, databases, and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate accurate and timely submission of data to the NMTR via ORP in line with NMTR inclusion criteria and national requirements.
  • Identify, validate and submit all NMTR-eligible cases in accordance with national guidance, reporting requirements, agreed timelines and data quality standards.
  • Use EPR and other Trust systems to identify trauma admissions and extract relevant clinical information, including ED, imaging, theatre and inpatient data.
  • Collect, interpret, validate and enter clinical data into the NMTR, ensuring accuracy, completeness and adherence to data quality standards.
  • Work with clinical, coding, operational and management teams to review injury and outcome data, resolve discrepancies and improve data quality.
  • Produce and disseminate reports to support performance monitoring, benchmarking, quality improvement and service development.
  • Provide trauma-related data to authorised internal and external stakeholders in accordance with information governance requirements.
  • Support audits, peer review, accreditation, research and service improvement activities through the provision of high‑quality trauma data.
  • Develop effective working relationships across the Major Trauma Service, CETN, and partner organisations.
