We’re looking for Supporting Hands Volunteers to offer practical help and emotional support to patients being cared for in their own homes.
Responsibilities- Visiting patients at home to offer companionship and conversation
- Helping with light practical tasks — making a cuppa, running errands, or just sitting quietly
- Supporting families and carers with your presence and empathy
- Being a gentle, caring part of someone’s day
For this role you will need access to your own transport as our patients can be spread across a relatively wide area and may live in places that are difficult to get to by public transport.
Requirements- Volunteers aged 18 or over
- Hours per session:
Between 1 and 2 hours - Availability:
Flexible (morning, afternoon, evening; Monday–Sunday)
- In‑person training and support
- Enjoy the satisfaction of helping patients and their families in their homes.
