Are you a compassionate and motivated nurse looking for a rewarding challenge? Join Team NHFT as a Principal Clinical/ Counselling or Forensic Psychologist at HMP Nottigham, where you'll play a vital role in delivering high-quality, evidence-based care to residents in a secure environment.
Main duties of the jobThis role will be to lead the provision of psychological interventions and provide input from a psychological perspective to individuals in prison with difficulties with substance misuse. To supervise and oversee the work of an Assistant Psychologists as well as work closely with the multidisciplinary team consisting of nursing staff, prison staff and other organisations focused on wellbeing. The successful post holder will develop trauma informed practice using up to date research and develop an evidence base.

You must have appropriate UK professional registration. This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
