Care Assistant

Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be to support and work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal, safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors, and staff.

• Monitor the wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any changes impacting care and care plans, ensuring new needs are met, and updating written records to reflect variations.
• Be involved in the person‑centered care planning process by implementing, monitoring, and undertaking monthly evaluations.
• Support residents with their medication requirements.
• Undertake staff supervision and support staff with their development as required.
• Act as a key point of contact with residents, their relatives and visitors, and health and social care professionals, ensuring any reasonable requests are acted upon and concerns or complaints escalated.

• DBS Disclosure check (cost met by Avery Healthcare).
• Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
• NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
• Minimum 2 years of experience working in a similar care environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Positive attitude toward supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
• Responsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.
