Specialist Acute Rotational Physiotherapist

UHCW NHS Trust is seeking highly motivated Band 6 Physiotherapists to join our inpatient therapy team. This rotational post offers the opportunity to develop specialist skills across T&O, Neurosciences, Cardiothoracics, General Critical Care, Major Trauma and Surgery.

Our service provides a diverse workload across elective and trauma surgical pathways, a dedicated Major Trauma Enhanced Care Unit, complex orthopaedic care, a regional specialist Cardiothoracic Unit, and a General Critical Care Unit, allowing you to develop expertise across a wide spectrum of acute conditions.

Successful candidates will work within integrated teams of Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists. Experience in staff and student supervision, training and appraisals, as well as involvement in service development and audits, is advantageous.

• Participate in the overnight on call and weekend respiratory rota.
• Complete the 7‑day service rota for your specific area.
• Support clinical decision‑making, assessment and treatment of patients across the multidisciplinary team.
• Contribute to rehabilitation planning, multidisciplinary team coordination and prescription of physiotherapy interventions.

Band 6 level qualification or equivalent, with evidence of clinical experience in an acute setting and ability to assess and treat patients with a wide variety of conditions. Demonstrated competency in supervising staff and students, leading audits and service development projects.

Training and support will be provided as required to enable participation in respiratory rota.
