At The Myton Hospices, we provide specialist care and support for people with life-limiting illnesses, and their loved ones, from the point of diagnosis to end of life. We are a much-loved and well supported charity, at the heart of our community. We have three hospices, a range of community services, and 26 charity shops in Coventry and Warwickshire.

We’re looking for a compassionate, excellent communicator to join our Coventry Inpatient Unit team and help us to provide high quality, holistic, palliative care.

Our Nursing Assistants:

• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver care;
• Assist patients with the activities of daily living and with their care after death;
• Communicate with colleagues, volunteers, patients and their families and friends;
• Handle bereavement issues with sensitivity and compassion;
• Carry out a range of essential activities, including preparing beds for admissions, transferring patients, and cleaning equipment.

In this role, you’ll directly support the provision of our much-needed Inpatient Services. We have the only palliative care inpatient beds in Coventry and Warwickshire, and more people need a Hospice bed now than ever before.

Full time or part time hours are available.

We would love to hear from you if you have:

• Experience of hospital or hospice nursing
• NVQ level 1 or equivalent
• Understanding of safeguarding and food hygiene
• Basic IT skills
• The right to work in the UK (we cannot support with sponsorship)

Other roles you may have experience of could include:
Healthcare Assistant;
Health Care Assistant.

We will carry out an enhanced DBS check including the adults’ barred list because you will be providing adult healthcare, which is a regulated activity. We will cover the cost of this check.
