The Staff Bank for Epsom and St Helier NHS Trust are seeking enthusiastic Community Nurses to join our pool of Staff Bank workers. This role is with Surrey Downs Health and Care (SDHC) which delivers care closer to people’s own communities through our Primary Care Networks and our innovative partnership of local NHS organisations.

Surrey Downs Health and Care has a track record of providing person centred care that goes beyond organisational boundaries to do what is best for the individual. This partnership includes:

• The three GP federations representing practices that operate in the Surrey Downs area
• Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust
• Surrey County Council

Role Summary

To work as part of the community nursing team, providing care to patients in their own home or care home setting. To be responsible for the assessment of care needs and the development, implementation and evaluation of holistic care packages. The skills that may be undertaken as part of the role are listed below:

Venepunture

Insulin Administration

Male and/or female catheterization

Complex wound management

IV administration of medications

Peg care advance, rotate, medication and feeds

End of life care

Palliative care care inc Syringe driver management and symptom control
