SF Partners are working with a successful manufacturing business to recruit a People & HR Advisor who will play a pivotal role in shaping the employee experience. This is an exciting opportunity to join a business that is investing in its people function and is committed to creating a positive, supportive and engaging workplace.
Working closely with senior leadership, you'll provide end-to-end HR support across the employee lifecycle while helping to strengthen HR processes, enhance employee engagement and support managers in developing high-performing teams.
The Role
This is a varied generalist HR position where no two days are the same. You'll be the go-to person for day-to-day HR support, ensuring employees receive an outstanding experience from onboarding through to development and beyond. You will have the chance to build strong relationships across the business, improve process, support employee development and make a genuine impact on company culture.
Key responsibilities include:
- Acting as the first point of contact for HR queries from employees and managers.
- Supporting the full employee lifecycle, including starters, leavers and contractual changes.
- Preparing contracts, offer letters and HR documentation.
- Maintaining accurate employee records and HR systems.
- Coordinating recruitment activities, interviews and onboarding.
- Supporting induction programmes to ensure new starters have a fantastic experience.
- Coordinating learning and development activities, training records and performance reviews.
- Preparing payroll information and supporting payroll administration.
- Assisting with employee engagement, wellbeing initiatives and company events.
- Supporting managers with HR processes, disciplinary and grievance administration.
- Producing HR reports, monitoring KPIs and ensuring compliance with employment policies and legislation.
About you
- Previous experience in a generalist HR role
- Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Experience using HR systems would be advantageous.
- A CIPD qualification (or working towards) would be beneficial but is not essential
