Recruitment Consultant – Engineering & Manufacturing

Remote‑first (Norfolk/Suffolk territory) – works one day per week in the Colchester office.

Base pay is based on skills and experience – please discuss with your recruiter.

• Own the Norfolk & Suffolk desk – inherit warm client relationships and grow the pipeline.
• Drive new business – cold calls, spec CVs, Linked In outreach; headhunt rather than job board.
• Place mid‑to‑senior technical roles – Mechanical Engineers, Production Managers, Quality Engineers, Operations Directors, etc.
• Build long‑term client relationships – deliver results and maintain repeat business.
• Split responsibilities 60% existing clients, 40% new business (expected to grow new pipeline).

• 25 days holiday + bank holidays + birthday off.
• Fully remote – laptop, phone, and all tools provided.
• Best‑in‑class tech stack – Linked In Recruiter, Source Whale, Firefish CRM, Apollo, and new AI tools.
• Autonomy – no micromanagement, no pointless meetings, no beanbags.

• Recruitment experience (ideally Engineering, Manufacturing, or technical sectors).
• Phone‑first mindset – deals close on calls.
• Commercially sharp – understand margin, urgency, and closing.
• Own your results – no blame culture, no excuses, focus on performance.
• Thrives in small, agile teams (currently 3 people, growing to 5+).

• Need constant direction (you must self‑manage).
• Prefer corporate structure (fast, iterative, no politics).
• Think “business development” means only sending Linked In messages and waiting.

• Territory:
  Norfolk & Suffolk – occasional client visits.
• Work setup:
  Fully remote with one day/week in Colchester office for team collaboration.
• Ideal base:
  East Anglia with good transport links.
