Due to continued growth, they are seeking experienced
Human Factors Consultants
to join their expanding capability and play a key role in shaping safety, design and operational performance across major programmes.
This is an excellent opportunity for Human Factors professionals looking to apply their expertise within highly regulated, safety-critical environments while influencing real engineering and operational outcomes.
The Opportunity
As a Human Factors Consultant, you will provide expert HF assessment and advisory services across a range of major infrastructure projects. Working closely with engineering, safety and operational teams, you will ensure Human Factors principles are effectively integrated throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Human Factors Delivery
- Deliver Human Factors assessments across design, operational and safety case activities
- Apply appropriate qualitative and quantitative HF methodologies
- Produce high-quality technical reports and recommendations
Engineering & Safety Integration
- Support hazard identification and analysis activities
- Undertake task analysis and human reliability assessments
- Influence design decisions through evidence-based Human Factors insights
- Contribute to robust safety justifications and operational improvements
Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering and project teams
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Communicate complex Human Factors concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
What We're Looking For
- Degree or equivalent background in Human Factors, Ergonomics, Applied Psychology or a related discipline
- Demonstrable experience applying Human Factors methodologies in an industrial environment
- Strong understanding of Human Factors principles and their practical application
- Ability to balance technical excellence with project delivery requirements
- Experience with in nuclear, defence, rail, aviation, oil & gas or other high-hazard industries would be advantageous
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
