Job purpose:

As the Senior Talent & Development Manager, you will be an integral part of our current Human Resources team, providing expert Senior HR support, Training, Culture, and advanced understanding of UK Employment Law and Payroll within the group to ensure the smooth operation of people-related/Legal processes. You will collaborate closely with managers and employees across multiple functions, flexibly supporting different specialist areas.

Main responsibilities:
  • Design, deliver, and continuously enhance management training and capability-building programmes.
  • Support talent management activities including performance/potential assessment, succession planning, and development interventions.
  • Facilitate periodic talent reviews and ensure follow-up actions support long-term organisational capability building.
  • Champion company culture and values, supporting the integration and alignment of Group and UK local culture.
  • Lead HR initiatives that drive employee engagement, organisational effectiveness, and cultural development.
  • Leading recruitment strategies for key roles, whilst optimising recruitment processes, tools, and frameworks to improve efficiency and candidate experience.
  • Provide expert guidance on UK employment law to ensure compliant, consistent, and risk-appropriate people practices.
  • Maintain high standards of compliance across the whole Talent Development.
  • Oversee employee lifecycle processes and identify opportunities to enhance learning tools, templates, and workflows to enhance the talent in the organisation.
Education, Skills and Personal characteristics required:
  • Proven experience in Learning & Development, Talent Management, Employee Engagement, or Organisational Development.
  • Proven experience designing and delivering employee engagement initiatives and culture programmes that strengthen values, improve retention, and enhance the employee experience.
  • Ability to build meaningful relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong communication, presentation, coaching, and facilitation skills.
  • Experience leading projects, managing expectations, and working flexibly across different HR disciplines.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills and confidence in using HR systems, Learning Management Systems (LMS), and digital learning tools.
  • Knowledge of learning and development methodologies, talent management, succession planning, and organisational development practices.
  • Data-driven approach to learning impact measurement and evaluation.
  • Strategic thinker with strong execution capability and a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Creative, solution-focused, proactive, and adaptable approach to problem-solving.
  • Experience supporting a sizeable, fast-paced organisation across sectors such as automotive, retail, hospitality, sales, marketing, or other commercial environments.
  • Understanding of change management principles and experience supporting organisational change initiatives.
  • Automotive industry experience (Desirable).
  • CIPD Level 5 qualification or above (Desirable).
