We are recruiting for an experienced HR Advisor to join a busy and supportive People Services team on an initial 3-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a CIPD-qualified HR professional with strong Employee Relations (ER) experience to make an immediate impact.
About the RoleAs an HR Advisor, you will provide expert guidance on employee relations matters, performance management, and policy interpretation. Working closely with managers and employees, you will ensure the fair and consistent application of People Services policies while promoting a positive employee experience and workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality HR advice and guidance to managers on a wide range of employee relations cases.
- Support performance management processes and advise on policy interpretation and best practice.
- Ensure risks associated with employee relations matters are managed effectively and professionally.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with Trade Union representatives.
- Manage and support team members, providing direction, coaching, and development.
- Support People Services Business Partners and the Employee Relations Lead with organisational change initiatives, including:
- Redundancy consultations
- Service efficiency reviews
- Changes to terms and conditions
- Promote employee wellbeing and contribute to a positive and inclusive working environment.
- CIPD qualified (minimum Level 5 or equivalent).
- Proven experience handling complex Employee Relations cases.
- Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practice.
- Experience advising managers on performance management and people policies.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working with Trade Unions.
- Immediate start available.
- Competitive rate of £21.33 per hour.
