HR Generalist / Talent Management, Regulatory Compliance Specialist
Portobello Operations.
Partner with operational leaders to provide pragmatic and commercially focused HR solutions.
Manage employee relations matters, including investigations, disciplinary, grievance, absence management, and performance-related issues.
Develop management capability through coaching, guidance, and training on HR policies and best practice.
Build and maintain effective relationships with Trade Union representatives, supporting constructive employee relations and consultation activities.
Support organisational change initiatives, restructures, and workforce planning projects.
Lead and coordinate recruitment activity across the site, ensuring a positive candidate and hiring manager experience.
Champion Early Talent, succession planning, and development initiatives to build future capability within the operation.
Work closely with managers to identify and address skills gaps and development needs.
Drive employee engagement initiatives and support activities that strengthen
communication, wellbeing, and inclusion.
Analyse key HR metrics and trends, providing insights and recommendations to support business decision-making.
Partner with Health & Safety and Occupational Health providers to support employee wellbeing and facilitate successful return-to-work outcomes.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR processes, policies, and ways of working.
- CIPD Level 5 qualification.
- A minimum of three years' experience operating at HR Advisor level or above.
- Strong employee relations experience and confidence managing complex people matters.
- Previous experience working within a unionised environment and building effective Trade Union relationships.
- Experience supporting organisational change and business transformation activities.
- Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive, resilient, and solutions-focused approach.
- The ability to balance operational priorities while maintaining a strong focus on people and
performance.
