SAP Subject Matter Expert - Master Data Management & Governance; MDG

Responsibilities

The Parker Meggitt SAP team work closely with functions across the global business to identify, develop and deploy manufacturing capability. The SAP MDG role will need to work closely with the business to shape and drive a delivery plan attending Discovery workshop, undertaking SAP design along with build test, deploy, continuous improvement and support activities.

• Serve as the SAP Master Data/MDG subject matter expert, advising stakeholders on feasible solutions ("art of the possible") across projects and BAU.
• Lead SAP MDG solution design and blueprinting across key domains (Business Partner/Customer/Vendor/Material/Finance).
• Translate business requirements into SAP MDG functional/technical specifications, including data models, workflows, UI configuration, and validation rules.
• Define and implement end‑to‑end master data governance processes (create/change/retire), including data ownership, approvals, and role‑based access.
• Design and deliver integrations between SAP MDG and SAP ECC/S/4
  
  HANA plus non‑SAP systems (e.g., SOA, ALE/IDoc, APIs).
• Drive data quality and migration activities: business rules, KPIs/metrics, cleansing/standardization, deduplication/consolidation, and migration into MDG/target systems.

• A minimum of 5 years SAP full cycle implementation experience in SAP MDG as well as support experience.
• Experienced SAP MDG subject matter expert who is able to engage with business, extract business requirements and define a SAP solution.
• Must have worked in customized processes and solutions within the SAP MDG arena.
• Delivered SAP MDG integration in a manufacturing arena.
