As the Interim Chief Digital & Data Officer you will provide interim maternity leave cover for one year. You will lead the implementation of Digital and Data strategy, support the Organisational Strategy 'More than a Hospital' ), and ensure high quality, safe, and effective digital infrastructure and robust data security systems.

Main Duties of the Job

You will engage with clinical and non-clinical colleagues fostering a digital culture, capability and vision to transform service delivery and ensure benefits of digital and data-driven transformation are realized. These include:

  • Influence, drive and expertise in digitalisation strategy, complex information systems, advanced technology, governance, and Cyber Security.
  • Working at Executive-level within a large complex organisation delivering digital innovation.
  • Developing complex business cases and investment strategies, working across professional and organisational boundaries, and contributing to strategic decision making.
Job Responsibilities

The core areas of focus for the CDDO role are:

  • Deliver a digital/data strategy aligned with Trust strategies and values, maximizing digital innovation and R&D opportunities.
  • Provide assurance and governance frameworks to ensure compliance with NHS and statutory digital and data standards.
  • Provide visible leadership to ICT, Digital and Performance and Informatics teams, ensuring growth and development.
  • Create a data-driven improvement culture; use data to inform quality information.
  • Lead engagement with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to build a digital culture and transform service delivery.
  • Work closely with national, regional partners and networks to seek technology and investment opportunities.
  • Represent the Trust regionally and nationally, influencing policy and delivery.
  • Lead and chair the Trust Digital and Data Transformation Advisory Board.
  • Lead and chair the Digital and Data Hospital Sub-Committee.
