Dev Ops Engineer Durham (Hybrid) Competive Salary - DOE Were looking for a Dev Ops Engineer to join a growing Platform Engineering team within a fast-paced, technology-led organisation. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a collaborative engineering environment focused on innovation, scalability, and continuous improvement. Youll play a key role in designing, implementing, and supporting secure, highly available cloud infrastructure while helping shape engineering best practices across the business.

The role offers a hybrid working model, with regular office collaboration expected in Durham. What Youll Be Doing:
Collaborating on the design and implementation of secure, scalable, highly available, and cost-optimised cloud infrastructure Deploying and managing infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code methodologies Monitoring and maintaining platform availability and operational performance Working closely with cross-functional engineering teams in an Agile environment using Scrum and Kanban methodologies Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across tooling, processes, and delivery practices

What Were Looking For :
Experience developing and deploying Infrastructure-as-Code solutions using Terraform, YAML, and ARM templates Hands-on experience managing cloud infrastructure within Microsoft Azure environments Experience using Azure Dev Ops and working within Cloud Adoption Framework principles Knowledge of Kubernetes, containerised services, and Helm chart management Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, collaborative mindset Desirable

Experience:

Using AI-powered tools to improve development productivity and engineering workflows Cost optimisation and Fin Ops best practices Exposure to C# .NET environments Scripting experience with Power Shell, Bash, Python, or Bicep Linux administration experience, particularly Ubuntu Understanding of observability and monitoring platforms Awareness of business continuity and resilience principles Whats on
