We're searching for a Workday Analyst to join us on a permanent basis working hybrid including 3 days a week in our Coventry office.
Job Purpose- To act as a Workday subject matter expert, supporting the effective configuration, maintenance and continuous improvement of Workday processes that enable a high-quality colleague experience and meet business and service level requirements.
- To support Workday configuration, business process design, testing, troubleshooting, reporting and release management across agreed functional areas, ensuring system changes are assessed, controlled and implemented effectively.
- To support the Head of HR Systems in maintaining data integrity, optimising Workday processes, delivering required reporting and insights, and implementing enhancements and controls that reduce risk and improve service delivery.
- Minimum of 3+ years of focused Workday configuration or support experience, with a strong understanding of system flows, business process design, security, integrations and Workday operational support.
- Strong Workday reporting knowledge, including experience of creating, maintaining and troubleshooting reports to support operational, audit, data quality and business requirements.
- Experience of analysing system requirements, process mapping, test planning and defect resolution and creating calculated fields, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver system improvements effectively through structured project delivery and change management.
- Strong understanding of HR systems controls, data governance, audit requirements, data protection obligations including GDPR, and the importance of data accuracy and confidentiality.
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills, with the ability to investigate system issues, identify root causes and recommend practical solutions.
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to advise on Workday system issues and build effective working relationships across HR, Payroll, Finance, IT and third-party providers.
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong focus on accuracy, with the ability to manage sensitive people data and prioritise work effectively within a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of agile delivery methods, process improvement techniques, and core project and change management principles, with the ability to support the successful delivery and adoption of system changes.
- Experience supporting Workday Payroll, Time and Absence would be advantageous.
- Experience of AI and automation in HR system environments, with the ability to identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, controls or user experience, would be desirable.
- Experience supporting or working with Workday integrations, interfaces and downstream data dependencies would be desirable.
- Act as a Workday specialist, supporting configuration, business processes and operational activity to ensure agreed HR system services are delivered accurately, on time and in line with business requirements.
- Own ongoing post-production support, ticket triage, issue resolution, defect management and enhancement activity for agreed Workday functionality, working with the Head of HR Systems to prioritise the backlog according to business need and risk.
- Analyse, design, test and implement Workday system changes, ensuring impacts across business processes, security, integrations, reporting and downstream processes are understood and controlled, with clear test plans, test scripts and business sign-off where required.
- Support Workday biannual release management, including reviewing release content, assessing impacts, coordinating regression testing and user acceptance testing, managing deployment readiness and recommending adoption where beneficial.
- Maintain strong data quality, controls and security within Workday and related systems, supporting audit readiness and compliance with relevant regulations and legislation including GDPR.
- Provide expert guidance, documentation and user support to HR, Payroll and key stakeholders to ensure Workday processes are understood and executed effectively.
- Develop, maintain and troubleshoot Workday reports to meet operational, audit, data quality, service performance and business insight requirements.
- Produce and maintain reporting, reconciliations and status updates relating to system changes, tickets, incidents, service performance and key controls, escalating issues where appropriate.
- Support cyclical HR activity and system events where required, ensuring configuration, reporting, testing and processing impacts are managed effectively.
