Senior IT/OT Cyber Engineer | Coventry/London | 80-90k + Very Competitive package A well known client of ours with a growing international presence is looking for a Senior IT/OT Cyber Security Engineer to protect the systems that keep its stores, distribution centres and operational sites running around the clock.

This is a rare hybrid of enterprise IT security and Operational Technology - you'll sit at the point where corporate infrastructure meets the industrial systems that the business physically depends on. It's a senior, hands-on engineering position with real influence: you'll set technical direction, raise engineering standards and build out the organisation's IT/OT security capability as it scales.

Coventry or London area (hybrid) Compensation: 80-90k + very competitive package

The Role:

You'll take the lead on securing both corporate and operational environments across a distributed, multi-site estate. Day to day, that means designing and delivering hardened architectures and secure configurations, driving network segmentation, and putting robust remote access and identity controls in place across sites where availability is non-negotiable.

You'll act as the senior technical escalation point for security incidents and complex engineering problems, assess cyber risk in practical business terms, and work alongside infrastructure, engineering, operations and facilities teams to make security part of how things are built - not an afterthought. There's also a genuine mentoring element: sharing your expertise and helping shape best practice across the wider team.

What You'll Be Working On:
* Lead security engineering across corporate IT and operational environments
* Design and implement secure architectures and hardened configurations
* Drive network segmentation, firewalls, VPNs and secure remote access
* Strengthen identity and endpoint security across a distributed estate
* Act as a senior technical escalation point for incidents and complex security challenges
* Assess cyber risk and translate it into practical recommendations
* Work closely with infrastructure, engineering, operations and facilities teams
* Mentor colleagues and help establish security engineering best practice

What You'll Need:
* Strong enterprise IT security engineering experience
* Strong experience working with operational, distributed or OT environments
* Strong knowledge of network security, particularly segmentation, firewalls and VPNs
* Experience across identity and endpoint security
* Someone confident making technical decisions and influencing stakeholders
* A pragmatic, hands-on approach to solving complex security problems

Desirables:
Active Directory | Entra  | Endpoint Management | PLCs | SCADA | Building Management Systems This is a particularly interesting role for someone who wants to help build and shape an IT/OT security capability, rather than simply maintain an existing environment.
