The roleOrbit are delighted to be recruiting for a Performance & Insight Analyst to join our Business Assurance team.
You will play a key role in ensuring Orbit delivers a transparent, trusted and insight-led approach to performance reporting for stakeholders.
Working collaboratively with colleagues across the Corporate Planning and Performance team and the wider organisation, you will bring together data from multiple sources to ensure performance is accurately reported, robustly assured, and clearly understood. In addition, you will provide high-quality analysis, insight and forecasting to support effective decision-making.
You will lead the development and delivery of high-quality performance reports, dashboards and analysis, helping stakeholders to understand performance, identify risks and opportunities, and drive continuous improvement.
This role is part of Regulatory & Governance where you'll help us give colleagues the support and expertise they need to be brilliant.
Where you'll be workingThis is an agile working role with roughly 1-2 times per month based out of our Garden Court, Coventry office.
What you'll achieve- Lead the production of high-quality performance reporting, including corporate scorecards, delivery plan updates and Board- and Executive-level reports, ensuring outputs are accurate, timely and tailored to stakeholder needs.
- Act as a trusted advisor to the business on performance management, supporting the development and review of KPI definitions, targets and tolerances to ensure measures are meaningful, aligned and fit for purpose.
- Collaborate closely with the central Data & Analytics function, contributing to the Power BI Virtual Team and ensuring reporting aligns with organisational standards, best practice and data governance requirements.
- Design and develop Power BI reporting solutions, including building dashboards, interrogating complex datasets and continuously enhancing reporting outputs in line with platform developments and user needs.
- Develop and maintain robust performance measures and calculations, utilising DAX and data visualisation techniques to translate complex data into clear, actionable insight.
- Contribute to the delivery of regulatory and statutory data returns, including SDR, CORE and TSMs, ensuring submissions are accurate, timely and supported by appropriate validation and assurance.
Essential skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Understanding of data governance and security-first mindset.
- Good IT skills including Excel, Word with experience of working with the wider MS Office suite of apps.
- Great organisation, with the ability to prioritise workloads, work effectively under pressure and to meet deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to work with stakeholders at all levels and to present to diverse audiences.
- Previous experience within performance insight, analytics, or root cause analysis.
- Working knowledge of key MI tools including Power BI (Desktop and Service) and Excel tools (e.g., Power Query).
- Exposure to and knowledge of social housing.
- Skills in Power BI report development and DAX measure creation.
